stroke types, stick behavior, foot timing, "the grid", and how to break down material are all explored in great detail.

metal, progressive metal, funk,

fusion and jazz. Displacement, polyrhythms, two-surface riding, double bass, hi-hat integration, incorporating rudiments, and composing parts are all explored

and developed. Specializing in comprehension of odd time signatures.

Arrangements

Available to write battery scores for all levels of ability. My writing is musical in nature and very supportive and complimentary of melodic intent. Rhythmically varied and interesting but done so with direction and cause. Strategically and smartly written to set up success, be it more novice or very demanding parts. Also available to consult on, critique, or edit existing scores and original compositions.
